These winning lodges are being recognized for their outstanding performance in Masonic Awareness within the lodge and throughout the greater community. The commitment these lodges made and the energy, creativity, and action they took to display Masonic Awareness is truly exemplary. Sincere congratulations to these lodges for their efforts. The Twain Award program will continue in 2008 and we encourage your lodge to give serious consideration to participation in this program. It’s very important to remember that your lodge submission will be judged entirely on the efforts of your lodge. You are not in competition with any other lodge – only yourselves! You are not being judged whether you are a large lodge or a small lodge but simply on what you do as a lodge to stimulate Masonic Awareness both within your lodge and within the community. We encourage initiative, creativity, and action in the lodge toward improving Masonic Awareness. We also encourage you to be supportive of the programs developed by your Grand Lodge. For example we have highlighted lodge involvement in the Chip program because it is meeting a vital community need by protecting our children. It also strongly points out how Masons are involved in the community and the family values we cherish. The same can be said of the Masonic Student Assistance Program. (MSAP) We want lodges entered in the Twain Award program to also include these kinds of activities in your submission to be considered for a Twain Award.
IT’S TIME TO ENTER THE 2008 TWAIN AWARD PROGRAM!MIC requires that lodges interested in participating in the 2008 Twain Award competition complete and submit the participation confirmation by June 1, 2008.
