Dear Twain Award Participants,
As you may know, after 24 years of service as the chief operating officer of the MSA, Richard E. Fletcher is retiring. His vision for and development of the Twain Award for Excellence in Masonic Awareness has proven to be a meaningful way to energize Lodges. Since 2005, its initial year, Twain Award entrants have provided evidence of extraordinary improvements in communicating their awareness of the fraternal experience of Freemasonry.
At this transition point in MSA's history, the Board of Commissioners and I consider the Twain Award a priority for the Masonic Information Center. We offer our congratulations and thanks to those Lodges who have made the commitment to enter this year's Twain Award Competition. We have Lodge entrants from 34 states plus the American Canadian Grand Lodge in Germany whose members join a legacy of brothers committed to sharing a rich understanding of the history, enjoyment, and importance of Freemasonry both within the Lodge and to the greater community.
As the December 1, 2011 submission date approaches, we look forward to learning about your Twain Award experiences. Please contact our office with any questions. Over the next few months, watch for new communications from MIC that will facilitate communication among entrants. Thank you for using your energy on behalf of Freemasonry!
Fraternally,
George O. Braatz
Executive Secretary
